Selected Rates to Increase August 1, 2008

In order to keep pace with the inflationary costs for labor, laundry chemicals, machines, and towels, IMRS has increased rates for towel service.  The rates for towel service and lost towels have not increased since the early 2000's.  A breakdown of the rates are in the table below.

Towel Service and Lost Towel Rates

Rate Current Rate Rate after July 1, 2008
 Towel Service $8.00 $12.00
 Lost Towel $9.50 $12.00

IMRS has increased fees for locker storage effecitve August 1, 2008.  This fee would only apply to those persons who do not renew their locker prior to their expiration date.  The purpose of this fee is to create a revenue stream to pay for this particular expense  Student, faculty, staff, and alumni membership fees should have to be used to cover this type of expense.  Locker storage fees have not been adjusted since the 1990's.  A breakdown of the rates are in the table below.

Locker Storage Rates

Current Rate Rate after July 1, 2008
$2.00 $5.00

IMRS has increased guest pass rates because of the complete receation experience the HPER Building offers its member and guests.  Many of the local facilities cannot provide the quantity and quality of facilities that is contained in the HPER.  With an increase in guest pass rates, the Intramural/Recreational Sports program rates would still be less than the average in Northwest Arkansas.  An increase in guest pas rates also improve the "Fair Competition" scenario.  A breakdown of the rates are in the table below.
