Why are children under the age of 12 not allowed into the fitness center even if they are accompanied by an adult and young adults are not admitted in the building on their own?

Children under the age of 15 cannot be allowed into the building without adult supervision for reasons of responsibility. The same reason exists for the fitness center - due to the amount of heavy machinery,  young children are at risk of injury. In addition, weight lifting is not recommended for this age group, as it may interfere with their development and growth.
