Remaining Fall Football Closures
The HPER will be closed all day on Saturday, October 27, 2007 and Saturday, November 3, 2007 due to the Razorback football games. Due to the extremely high nature of traffic around HPER and parking limited only to those with Scholarship parking, it is in the best interest of the HPER Building and members that we close. We will resume normal operational hours the Sunday following each game day.

October Events
What’s big in October for the OCC? The Josh Lantz Memorial Adventure Race! Josh was an employee of the OCC who passed away last December and in his memory, we are organizing a fun filled two day adventure race that is open to all skill levels! The race is Friday night (Oct. 19) at the climbing wall and Saturday (Oct. 20) at Lake Fayetteville. The race events include: climbing, canoeing, mountain biking and trail running. Participants sign up in two person teams in divisions of male, female and coed. The cost is $30 a team and includes t-shirts, dinner Friday night, swag bags and chances to win door prizes. The first 10 teams to sign up only pay $15! The deadline is October 12, so sign up today before your spot is taken!
October is a perfect month to plan your own camping trip! Get your friends together, get the camping gear and get outside! The fall colors of Arkansas make any outdoor adventure much better so don’t forget a camera. Visit our library in the OCC to learn about different camping areas and hiking trails in Arkansas.
Every Wednesday at the OCC is Bike Shop Tool Time! Tool Time is a few hours set aside for you to put your bike on one of our stands and ask us general questions about bicycles. Need help changing a tube? Cables and brakes not functioning? The OCC does not supply parts or cleaning supplies. Drop by for some free help every Wednesday from 3:00-6:00 pm.
