CLUB BEHAVIOR

Each club is responsible for the behavior of its members.  Each member is expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the student and University conduct regulations as well as the policies and procedures of the Fayetteville police, the Board of Trustees and the Intramural/Recreational Sports Program.  Violating individuals will be suspended and the club will be put on immediate probation.

Possession and use of intoxicants in University facilities and at official University functions and social events held on campus is prohibited.  While participating in off-campus events using the University of Arkansas name, possession and use is strictly prohibited.  To help reduce the incidence and prevalence of alcohol use that may adversely affect the quality of an individual’s experiences at the University of Arkansas, abstinence is expected.  Any infraction could lead to the probation and/or dismissal of the club and its members.  (University of Arkansas Board Policy No.’s 860.1 and 705.2).  Furthermore, violations of the University of Arkansas IMRS policy could lead to submission to the University Judicial System.

Possession, use, or the manufacturing of illicit drugs and controlled substances is strictly prohibited at the University of Arkansas.  Students enrolled in the University of Arkansas are subject to disciplinary action for violation of federal and state law regarding this matter.  Any infraction will result in the immediate dismissal of the club and its members, as well as submission to the University Judicial System.  (University of Arkansas Board Policy No. 860.1).

All clubs are expected to abide by the above guidelines and regulations.  Failure to do so will result in suspension from the Sport Club Program.  The Associate Director of Intramural/Recreational Sports, the Sport Club Graduate Assistant, the Sport Club Executive Committee, and the appropriate University authorities will review violations of conduct regulations.  Action will be taken as deemed necessary.  Club members and/or clubs that have been suspended or placed on probation have the right to appeal.  The first appeal is through the Sport Club Executive Committee and the further appeals, if necessary, are made through the appropriate University committees.
