COACHES / INSTRUCTORS

Clubs may seek the assistance of a coach or instructor. This individual should be an experienced and knowledgeable person in the area practiced by the club. It is the clubs responsibility, not the IMRS office, to secure the coach/instructor’s service. The following criteria for coaches or instructors apply:

All coaches and instructors must be approved by the Associate Director of Intramural/Recreational Sports prior to their involvement with the club.
A coaching application/waiver must be submitted to the IMRS office. This provides information on the individual’s prior playing/coaching experience and should be on file before the person can begin their duties.
Observation of all rules, policies and procedures of the Sport Club Program.
Coaches may not sell or promote outside vendors while acting as a club coach.
Coaches are not eligible for accident and liability insurance offered by the University.
