INTRAMURAL/RECREATIONAL SPORTS

The University of Arkansas Sport Club Program is organized and administered by the Intramural/Recreational Sports Program. The Associate Director of the Intramural/Recreational Sports Program serves as the Director of the Sport Club Program. The Sport Club Graduate Assistant serves as the Assistant Director of the Sport Club Program. The Sport Club Program is organized so that participants take an active and responsible role in the administration and financing of the program. Membership is limited to clubs with a sport emphasis and with the inability to obtain funding by other university programs.

The Intramural/Recreational Sports Office is located in HPER Room 225. The office is open Monday-Friday: 8am – 8pm; Saturday: 9am-8pm; and Sunday: 1pm-8pm. The phone number is 479-575-4646. Club officers are encouraged to stop by regularly to check for mail and messages and to make all necessary reservations, purchase requests and deposits.

The success of the Sport Club Program is dependent upon student involvement, availability of facility space, volunteer coaches and advisors, educational opportunities and effective student leadership.
