Manager's Responsibilities

Managers will serve as the liaison between Intramural/Recreational Sports and his/her team. Every team must have a manager and our experience has shown that alert and efficient managers correlate highly with the most competitive teams.

Duties include:
  • Attend mandatory manager’s meeting.
  • Complete rosters with name, University ID numbers, and other information online.
  • Remind team members about need for insurance coverage.
  • Ensure team compliance with all eligibility rules.
  • Select team name and enter team into competition by the registration deadline.
  • Ensure team members understand and abide rules for your sport, in addition to the regulations of the Intramural Sports Handbook.
  • Inform team members of play schedules to avoid a forfeit.
  • Pay forfeit fines within four business days. If next sport entry date is before forfeit fine deadline, then the fine must be paid prior to registration for that sport.
  • Check the Intramural website for postponed games, rainout schedules, and playoff schedules.
  • Remind teammates to call REC-CHECK, our 24 hour Hotline at 575-4950 or check the Intramural website for inclement weather information.
  • Ensure that all individuals associated with team comply with all rules, policies and procedures.
  • Accompany team members to disciplinary hearings.
  • Serve as the on-court or on-field liaison for teams with officials.
