- Must be First-Aid and CPR certified
- Must be able to swim
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of kayak techniques
- Proper instruction and teaching of wet exit, roll, and basic kayak strokes
- Be familiar with and abide by emergency procedures
- Provide a safe learning environment for students
- Be knowledgeable about area creeks and rivers
- Process proper paperwork for registration and evaluations
- Be able to push, pull, lift 65 pounds
- Other duties as assigned
