Class Descriptions

- 40/20: Combine 40 minutes of cardio with 20 minutes of strength training for a total fitness workout!

- Aqua Abs: Get tight sculpted abdominals without the usual crunches and sweat, by using the resistance of the water for toning!

- Aquarobics: Use the resistance of deep and shallow water to get a great cardio workout in the pool setting.

- Ballet Toning: Use traditional ballet movements and techniques to sculpt a long, lean dancer's body.  Ballet Toning caters to all ability levels!

- Beginner Belly Dance: Get a great workout while learning and exploring the art of Tribal Style Belly Dance.  Choose between the begining or advanced belly dancing classes to cater to your abilities and interests!

- Body Sculpt: Bypass the gym with this combination of endurance and strength training. Target all major muscle groups by using barbells and plates. Choose your own weights to help you get the results you want to see!

- Booty Ballet: This is a dynamic fusion of yoga, booty sculpting, and dance that will make you feel strong, confident and beautiful.

- Bum Burn: This workout will provide a butt-blasting routine, by pairing 30 minutesof cardio with 30 minutes of glute-burning toning exercises.  Get fired up for this bootylicious toner!

- Cardio Fusion: A mix of all your favorite cardio formats. You never know what you’re going to get; step, hi/low, kickboxing, or a combination! But you are sure to get your heart rate up for a great cardiovascular workout!

- Chiseled Arms ‘n Abs: Get an express strength workout for your arms and core in this pumped-up 30 minute toning class!

- Circuit Breaker: Come experience a unique spin to your average boot camp class. Pair 30 minutes of cardio with 30 minutes of circuites to incorporate resistance and strength training. A great way to get your heart rate up, while toning and sculpting at the same time!

- Core Yoga: A mix of practical pilates and yoga.  Starting with breath work, stretching, pilates, sun salutations, arm balances, and inversions. 

- Core Yoga Fusion: Come try out this new fusion class, where you'll combine core yoga with a new version of pilates!  Challenge your abdominals, obliques, and lower back in this popular mind/body class.

- Cycle & Sculpt: A class that combines a half hour ride on a stationary bike, with 15 minutes of resistance strength training.-Group Cycle: Group cycling is our new, cutting edge program. The class welcomes participants of all fitness levels. Get ready for a high-energy workout on a stationary bike, combined with an electric group atmosphere that will keep you going!

- Deep Stretch & Pilates: Get ready to pair a traditional pilates class with a slow, deep stretch.  Increase stength and enhance flexibilityin this combination workout. 

- Flirty Girl: Sculpt and tone a sleek dancer's body using light weights, Pilates rings, and a chair!  Take a new approach to fitness with Flirty Girl!

- Group Cycle: Group cycling is our new, cutting edge program!  The class welcomes participants of all fitness levels.  Get ready for a high-energy workout on a stationary bike, combined with an electric group atmosphere that will keep you going!  *Note: pre-registration required for this class.  See the office, HPER 225, to register for class!

- Hard Core: An express 30 minute workout designed to strengthen your abdominal and back muscles. Participate in a new core workout each class by using stability balls, bosus, yoga balls, and plates!

- Hustle: This class takes the fun factor up a notch with super hot moves! A completely pre-designed hip-hop class that's easy to follow. Anyone can do the moves and make them their own!  Come hustle away those calories and tone a dancer’s body!

- Lower Body Xpress: get a quick 30 minute workout in this lower body toning session.  Target your glutes and legs in this half hour burn!

- Pilates: Sculpt a sleek, toned body with this proven series of controlled core exercises.

- Pilates Fusion: Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body feels, looks and performs.  It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body.

- Pilates Hybrid: This new class will put a twist on your typical pilates session.  Get more flexibility and long, sinewy strength in this workout.

 - PiYo: A faster-paced yoga class.  Experience an athletic fusion of style, strength and flexibility.  This class combines Pilates, yoga, dance and strength in a flowing sequence designed for those who like to move with grace and power.

- Shake ‘n Sculpt: If you wanna lose it, you gotta move it! Shake your way through this upbeat cardio dance class, ending with some simple toning and stretching exercises.

-Turbokick™: This program is featured at over 20,000 different health clubs and fitness chains across the globe. You’ll kick, punch, and groove the calories away in this action-packed, super fun, safe and effective cardiovascular workout, while listening to the latest hip-hop music!

-Tai Chi: Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese activity, designed to improve overall health, provide self defense, reduce stress, improve circulation, and increase internal energy!

-Yoga: This class is designed for all fitness levels.  Yoga will match and evolve with the difficulty level of the participant, while improving your overall posture, balance, flexibility, and strength.

-Yoga Appreciation: Align your mind, body and spirit as you learn proper breathing and stretching techniques.

-Yoga Flow: This class will incorporate a tai chi warm-up, followed by sequential yoga poses that focus on balance, strength, and stretching.  It also incorporates core training with pilates.

- Zumba™: Zumba™ Fitness is one of the nation’s fastest-growing crazes!  Inspired by traditional cumbi, salsa, cha-cha, samba, reggaeton and meringue music, paired with pulsating Latin rhythms and red-hot international dance steps!

 - ZumbaXpress: A 30 minute of the hot, new class!
